Marven of the Great North Woods




1. KNOWLEDGE - Why is Marven so good at adjusting to life in the loggin camp? What problems does he solve there?

2. ANALYZING - What does Marven think of Jean Louis at first? How and why does his opinion change?

3. GENERATING - What do you think Marven will miss about the logging camp when he returns home? Be specific.

  1. 1. Marven wants to succeed and tries hard. He solves the problem of following dietary laws by not having milk and meat at the same meal and by not eating bacon. He learn French words and organizes the payroll system.

  2. 3.I think that Marven would miss Jean Louis because he was a great friend to Marven. He would also miss eating beakfast with him including taking a walk in the snow and sharing bacon.

  3. 4. Being in the Great North Woods might have changed Marven because he learned some French and Marven begain speaking some of it. Marven also dident understand how to do his job he was assined at first. Then he got the hang of it and begain to finish his job early and became a expert at it.

  6. 1.Marven adjusys so much to the camp because he maets Jean Loius and Jaen Loius makes Marven feal good. He makes him feal good by being his friend and helping him. By: Tatum Beck

  9. 2. I think Marven did not like jean Louis because he was so big and Marvin was scared but later they became very good friends and allways would work together untill he had to leave

  11. [5] If i had to spend my winter at a logging camp i would look forward to meeting the lumberjacks and what thire names would be.Butt i would worry about me getting in the lumberjacks way and them not liking me.Also if i get frostbite.

  13. 5. If I had to spend a wintir at a logging camp,I would worry about bears and wolves. I would look foward to drinking hot choolkit affter a long day at work and being next to a fire place.
