    1. Maria Isabel begins to feel better by expressing her feelings in the essay. Once the teacher is aware of the situation, she calls Maria Isabel by her full name and gives her a special part in the program.

    1.Maria Isabel writes in her essay how she wants to be called by her real name,not Mary Lopez.She also expresses how much she wants to be in the play.After reading Maria's essay, the teacher is aware of how she feels and begins to call her by her real name and gives Maria a part in the play.

    1. I think the essay helped Maria Isabel because she wrote how she thought about what she wanted to be in the playbut the main thing was she wanted to be called her realln name. Then it all came true after the teacher read all of her essay and understood how what she was feeling.
